Nail fungus tends to affect men more frequently than women, especially those with a family history of this infection.
Other factors that may increase your risk of developing nail fungus are:
Sweating excessively , working in a humid environment, wearing socks and shoes that hinder ventilation and do not absorb perspiration, walking barefoot in damp public places such as swimming pools, gyms and showers, having athlete’s foot , having nail injuries, having diabetes , psoriasis , circulation problems or a weakened immune system .
It is important to be consistent with the treatment for nail fungus as it can take up to two months to see the results.
What is used to eliminate nail fungus
1. Apple vinegar to remove fungus on the nails
A very good home remedy for combating fungus on the nails is apple cider vinegar . Put your feet in a solution of 1 liter of warm water and half a cup of apple cider vinegar.
You can also apply the apple cider vinegar directly to the infected nail with a brush about three times a day until it heals.
Garlic is a powerful antimicrobial used to eliminate nail fungus . Bring 5 cloves of garlic to a boil.
Pour the water with the garlic in a basin and wait a few minutes so the water is not too hot. Put clean feet in the garlic water for 15 minutes. Repeat for 4 weeks or until you see improvement.
3. More anti-fungal garlic
Add 1 clove of finely chopped garlic, 5 drops of lemon and 5 drops of white iodine to a bottle of nail polish. Let stand for 2 weeks. Shake well and apply a coat of nail polish for 15 days in a row. After 16 days remove the enamel.
On day 17 repeat the process until the fungus disappears. Another option is simply to crush the garlic and put it directly on the nail and leave it for 30 minutes. The feet should be clean before applying these remedies.
Wash your feet and leave your fingernails wet. Put salt on your nails and put on stockings. Repeat twice a day.
